The British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) recently published its 2014 manifesto. Amongst other matters, this sets out BIBA's key objectives for the year. These include (a) facilitating greater access to suitable insurance protection, (b) delivering a competitive regulatory system which ensures a proportionate and cost-effective approach to regulation, (c) improving customer experience of the claims process, (d) achieving greater protection for consumers in the UK insurance market (BIBA raises several concerns regarding the adequacy of policyholder protection offered by inward passporting insurers) and (e) tracking and measuring insurance premiums in order to identify market trends.
