After amendments resulting from a public consultation in March 2013, the Commission launched on 17 July 2013 a public consultation on a second Draft Regulation on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid. This Draft, which operates in the context of the expiry of Regulation No 1998/2006 on 31 December 2013, does not change the ceiling (currently sets at 200,000€ per company over a period of three years) of de minimis aid, benefiting from a notification exemption from the Commission. The Commission proposes to gradually introduce a central register of de minimis aid. The Draft also meets stakeholders' expectations by clarifying and simplifying the rules in order to reduce the administrative burden for non-significant aid. Interested third parties are invited to respond to the Consultation by 9 September 2013.
