As Google Glass is launched in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has published a blog underlining the fact that use of personal data obtained from wearable tech for non-personal use, is likely to be subject to the Data Protection Act 1998. In addition, organisations which allow users of their wearable tech to capture video and still images, will need to comply with the ICO's CCTV code of practice which is currently being updated.
