The Association of Financial Markets in Europe has published its response to the European Commission Consultation on a Possible Recovery and Resolution Framework for financial institutions other than banks.

The AFME strongly supports the efforts of the EC to enhance the mechanisms for dealing with the failure of systemically important financial institutions other than banks. The AFME stated that the design of any such resolution regime will need to take into account both other EU rules (such as CSDR and EMIR) as well as international rules and principles relating to recovery and resolution regimes but to ensure that all such rules rae compatible so as to minimise the risks of double regulation.
