Diesel-engine maker, Tognum AG, is reportedly being investigated by public prosecutors following bribery allegations relating to multi million Euro payments in South Korea for defence-related goods.
Tognum’s chief executive, Mr Joachim Coers, admitted that compliance rules had been breached.
Rolls-Royce PLC and Daimler AG together recently acquired a 97% stake in Tognum AG and are putting pressure on the company to rectify any possible compliance issues.
