The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has published a new version of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. Starting September 18, 2017, employers must use the 7/17/2017 version. Failure to use the new version can subject employers to fines and/or penalties in the event of an audit. The new Form I-9 can be found on the USCIS website at Employers who use electronic I-9 products should confirm the Form I-9 has been updated to the 7/17/2017 version.
