The City of Sydney recently released its Draft Renewable Energy Master Plan for consultation.
It is a comprehensive plan (supported by financial and technical analysis) that if implemented will complement the City of Sydney’s Trigeneration Master Plan to achieve the City’s 2030 targets of:
- reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 70% below 2006 levels; and
- 30% renewable electricity supply.
Some of you might be particularly interested in the extent to which the Draft Plan looks beyond the boundaries of the City’s local government area - including in relation to the infrastructure requirements to harvest and supply “renewable gases” to the City’s planned trigeneration network.
The Draft Renewable Energy Master Plan can be viewed here.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 3 September 2013.
