Enbridge and partner Exxon Mobil Pipeline are seeking agreements from shippers for $3 billion Clydesdale pipeline connecting Alberta bitumen producers to U.S. Gulf Coast refineries in Texas. Current plans are for the proposed 400,000 bpd pipeline to extend from Pakota, Illinois to Beaumont and Houston to tie in to the Southern Access Pipeline.

Kinder Morgan is currently talking with shippers regarding its proposed Chinook pipeline to link Alberta and Texas. This 3,300 km pipeline would run through Wyoming and Oklahoma and transport 300,000 bpd by 2012.
