On 1 December 2010 new amending regulations came into force which permit trustees to communicate with members and provide certain information about the scheme by e-mail or via a website, as well as by post. If you have not communicated with members via electronic means before 1 December 2010, to take advantage of these new easements you will need to inform members by post of your intention. Before using electronic communications, trustees must be satisfied that the method of communication has been designed so that members may get access to, store or print the information being provided.
