Tony became involved in dispute resolution in construction initially because of his employment as a quantity surveyor in the United Kingdom following his graduation in that subject. Employment in that profession took him to London, and then to Hong Kong in 1981, with periods of time also in Singapore and Jakarta.
His interest in dispute related work led him to study for an LLB and, subsequently, to his call to the Bar in England and Wales and in Hong Kong. That qualification took him into practice in chambers in Hong Kong where his legal practice encompassed a broad variety of civil and commercial litigation.
