Provision 6/2021 of the Office of the President's Chief of Staff set out the creation of the Advisory Committee for the Development and Implementation of Secure Applications.
The main purpose of the Committee will be to provide advice to the Undersecretary of Information and Communication Technologies and the National Cybersecurity Directorate on the drafting of guidelines and protocols concerning principles and best practices relating to security in software and apps used by the public sector.
The reason for the creation of the Committee is the increase in the amount of software developed by public bodies and agencies that is used for citizen administrative procedures. The use of digital technologies has become essential in the public sector.
For this reason, the implementation – from the outset – of security measures that reduce the possibility of attacks on the digital infrastructures of these systems and the personal data that they contain is crucial.
