The National Intellectual Property Policy is set to be published in the second half of 2022. It is a policy that has been promoted by the National Institute for the Defence of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property with the technical support of the World Intellectual Property Organization and the participation of 40 public, private and academic institutions. It covers various areas of intellectual property – namely, inventions, copyrights and distinctive signs.

The aim of the National Intellectual Property Policy is to promote the use and exploitation of intellectual property, through mechanisms that allow the correct protection of creations or innovations. It also aims to promote their development for the benefit of citizens and the market.
