The Commission for the Protection of Competition has recently hosted several competition events demonstrating its determination to cooperate with other competition authorities and to advocate competition law.

In June 2016, as well as the visit of the vice president of the Greek Competition Authority, the Serbian commission's representatives took part in the Eighth Sofia Competition Forum held in Bulgaria and visited the Romanian Competition Authority for a bilateral meeting.

Further, along with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the commission co-organised an international conference on institution building between the national competition authorities of Southeast Europe. The conference was attended by representatives of the US Department of Justice, the EBRD and the European Commission, as well numerous international and local experts. During the conference, president of the commission Miloje Obradović emphasised that after years of recession, national competition authorities do not have the right to make mistakes and must secure free implementation of competition rules and intervene only to the extent and manner necessary to ensure consumer welfare. Director of the EBRD for Serbia Daniel Berg emphasised the importance of the Serbian commission and congratulated it on its capabilities for facing the challenges of creating equal conditions for all market participants.
