On December 16 2010 the Croatian Competition Agency found that Croatia's two biggest weekly press publishers - Europapress Holding doo and NCL Media Grupa doo - colluded to raise the retail price of their weekly magazines Globus and Nacional by HRK2 as of July 31 2008.

The case was brought to the agency's attention in March 2010, when the transcripts of text messages between chief executive officers of the competing publishers were published on the website of a daily press publisher following the commencement of the trial for the murder of Ivo Pukanic, the editor-in-chief and publisher of weekly magazine Nacional, in October 2008. The agency decided to open an investigation and established that from May to October 2008, the publishers were engaged in a price-fixing cartel.
