The Securities Commission Malaysia revised its licensing handbook on 12 October 2022. Among the changes are:

  • an amendment to facilitate changes in processes and automation of additional forms under the second phase of the electronic application system (EASy) for greater operational efficiency, as well as to provide greater clarity and consistency in the requirements;
  • updates to Appendix 3 of the licensing handbook relating to EASy that indicate the new form types that have been automated through EASy and the types of supporting documentation for various forms; and
  • housekeeping amendments throughout the licensing handbook that are either editorial or applied for consistency with the current law.
