Kristi Wolff is a partner in Kelley Drye’s advertising compliance and food and drug practice groups.  She also chairs the firm’s cannabis law practice.  She has extensive experience advising clients whose products are within the overlapping jurisdictions of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Kristi provides regulatory advice to a broad range of stakeholders in the cannabis industry, including manufacturers, retailers, advertising platforms, publishing houses, and endorsers.  She has also worked with a number of “conventional” companies as they evaluate opportunities in the cannabis industry.  She handles matters that span the complete product lifecycle, including concept analysis, claim substantiation, label review, quality and recall scenarios, and contested matters involving the FTC, FDA, National Advertising Division, state attorneys general and class action litigation.

Michael Zinna is a partner in Kelley Drye’s cannabis law and IP practice groups. Mike’s practice comprises all aspects of intellectual property, with a focus on patent matters including complex patent litigation, patent licensing, due diligence, patent clearance, design around strategies and the management of domestic and international patent portfolios.  His experience in the cannabis industry includes representing clients innovating in the areas of edibles, pens and other paraphernalia, packaging, transportation, and plant varietals.  In addition to his patent docket, Mike helps clients formulate holistic IP strategies and he manages domestic and international patent portfolios and he litigates trademark, trade dress, copyright and unfair competition cases.
