An Ounce of Prevention, Part II: Implementing a Practical CCPA Compliance Plan

Barnes & Thornburg LLP

Description

According to a TrustArc survey conducted by Dimensional Research, only 14% of companies are compliant with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and 44% have not yet started the implementation process.

Do not get caught waiting until the last moment. Join us for this second webinar in our California Consumer Privacy Act Series, which will provide a short overview of the CCPA, its scope, requirements and enforcement competencies. We will discuss the latest development, proposals, and amendments being considered and debated by the public. Lastly, we will compare the CCPA provisions to the GDPR and outline strategies for compliance with both.

Throughout our three-part series, attorneys from Barnes & Thornburg’s Data Security & Privacy Practice Group will review the CCPA’s requirements, analyze real-world implications, outline strategies for compliance, and provide practical guidelines for where your organization should be at key milestones – one year, six months and one month away from the January 2020 effective date.
