On 8 October 2015, the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) published a press release announcing that the manager of a company selling various brands of digital video cameras had been convicted at the District Court of accepting bribes.

The defendant was found to have accepted up to HK $300,000 (approximately US $ 38,700) of illegal kickbacks from a supplier to promote the supplier’s products and to place purchase orders from the supplier in breach of section 9(1)(a) of the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance. The case was adjourned for sentencing.
