FSA has published a public censure against City Gate Money Managers Limited for various failings in pension transfer and income drawdown business. The failings included breaches of Principles 2 and 3, failure to comply with FSA’s financial promotion rules and failure properly to monitor its own advisers and its appointed representatives. FSA had previously disciplined the firm for the failings and had varied its permission. The firm had failed to address the failings. FSA would have fined the firm £180,000 had it not already been in liquidation. FSA also censured Stuart Domke, who held the controlled functions of director and compliance oversight, and banned him from holding any significant influence function in any other firm. It would have fined him £70,000 had he not shown evidence of financial hardship. (Source: FSA Censures Firm for Pensions Failings)
