A carbon capture project is on the horizon for China thanks to the help of Australian government funding. The pilot-project that will capture up to 3,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year could potentially be up and running by this summer. The joint venture signed last week will bring together Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization and China's Thermal Power Research Institute. The post combustion technology will be added to the Huaneng Beijing Co-Generation Power Plant.
