BRIBERY AND FRAUD PLAGUE MIDDLE EASTERN AND NORTH AFRICAN COMPANIES

Ernst and Young has published its Europe, Middle East, India and Africa Fraud Survey 2015. The report shows that nearly half of business in the Middle East and North Africa lack an anti-bribery and corruption policy, making them vulnerable to fraud and corruption. In addition, many employees in Middle Eastern and North African companies believe that personal gifts are harmless and justified, and essential for a business to survive.

15 IRAQI MINISTERS INDICTED ON CORRUPTION CHARGES

Iraq's Commission of Integrity has announced that a large number of government officials, including 15 former ministers and 122 seniors have been charged with corruption. Arrest warrants have been issued in relation to charges of theft of public funds, embezzlement, bribery, corruption and other issues. The Commission has also contacted Interpol in relation to the arrest warrants.
