The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has published issue 135 of its  news.  In this issue they look at a number of issues including:  (i) case studies relating to complaints involving scams, such as the refusal of banks to refund fraudulent transfers and a complaint relating to a boiler room scam where a consumer claimed that a repayment should be made under the Consumer Credit Act 1974; (ii)  the FOS' approach to complaints relating to fraud; and (iii) a number of Q&As, including on registering a power of attorney with a bank.
