The BBC has reported that former X Factor contestant Gamu Nhengu and her family have won their immigration fight to stay in the UK.
The Home Office had appealed to overturn a decision to grant the 19-year-old, her two brothers and their mother leave to remain in the UK.
Gamu has lived with her family in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, for several years after coming to Scotland from Zimbabwe as a dependant while her mother studied in Scotland.
She became a household name in 2010 when she got through to the judges' houses stage of the X Factor show. She hit the headlines when a controversial decision by Chery Cole was made not to put Gamu through to the live shows, instead favouring Cher Lloyd and Katie Waissel.
