ESMA has published compliance tables setting out which national regulators comply, or intend to comply, with various ESMA guidance in relation to central counterparties (CCPs) under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). All regulators listed recorded at least an intention to comply with each set of guidance. Relevant documents include:
- guidelines for establishing consistent, efficient and effective assessments of interoperability arrangements;
- guidelines and recommendations on written agreements between members of CCP colleges; and
- guidelines on the implementation of the Committee on Payment and Settlement Systems (CPSS)-IOSCO principles for financial market infrastructures in respect of CCPs.
ESMA notes that jurisdictions which have no CCP and/or where no national regulator participates in a CCP college are not featured in the table. (Source: ESMA details: EMIR CCP interoperability compliance, colleges agreements compliance and CPSS-IOSCO principles compliance)
