EP’s Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) has published its report on stocktaking and challenges of EU Financial Services regulation. The report examines legislative work following the financial crisis, addresses shortcomings in financial services law-making and voices concerns that the impact of the individual legislative measures, their interactions and accumulated impact have not been sufficiently analysed. EP has also amended its procedure file to schedule the debate and vote on the report in a plenary session for 18 and 19 January respectively.
