The Commission has published a Delegated Regulation supplementing the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD). It lays down rules specifying:

  • the circumstances and conditions under which the payment of extraordinary ex-post contributions may be partially or entirely deferred;
  • the criteria for determining activities, services and operations with regard to critical functions; and
  • the criteria for determining business lines and associated services with regard to core business lines.

The Commission took a different view from that recommended by EBA in one respect. The Regulation has not yet been published in the OJEU, and will come into force 20 days after that publication. (Source: Commission Publishes BRRD-Supplementing Delegated Regulation)
