ESMA has published its supervisory convergence work programme 2016, detailing the activities and tasks it will carry out to promote sound, efficient and consistent supervision across the EU. It is designed to expand on the regulator’s annual report. ESMA identifies the workstreams that will be the focus of work in 2016, including in the areas of:

  • corporate finance;
  • corporate reporting;
  • investment management;
  • investor protection and intermediaries;
  • market integrity;
  • post-trading;
  • secondary markets;
  • IT delegated projects; and
  • cross-cutting activities.
