BIS has published a final version of its non-statutory guidance for companies, SEs and LLPs relating to the requirement to create and maintain a register of people with significant control, in particular the meaning of "significant influence or control”. The Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015, which came into force on 26 March 2015,  amends the Companies Act 2006 to require companies incorporated under it, subject to certain exceptions, to hold and keep available for inspection a register of people with significant control over the company (PSC register) with effect from 6 April 2016.
