Supervisory bodies will receive authority to request information directly and start an immediate investigation into third parties with whom pension funds outsource tasks. The pension fund will retain full responsibility for the performance. The new rules are included in the Decree on the Implementation of the Pension Act (Besluit uitvoering Pensioenwet) and the Obligatory Occupational Pension Schemes Act (Wet verplichte beroepspensioenregeling). Because these amendments may involve revision of existing agreements, the amendments will take force as of 1 July 200912.
