The second in a series of outreach meetings held by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve as part of their regulatory review under the Economic Growth and Regulatory Paperwork Reduction Act of 1996 (EGRPRA) will take place in Dallas on February 4, 2015, according to an FDIC press release. EGRPRA requires these agencies and the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) to “conduct a review at least every 10 years to identify outdated or otherwise unnecessary regulations.” Industry participants as well as community and consumer groups will present panel presentations at the meetings, and interested persons may “present their views on any of the 12 categories of regulations listed in a June 2014 Federal Register notice.” Additional meetings will be held this year in Boston on May 4, Chicago on October 19, and Washington, D.C. on December 2.
