The High Court has ruled in a judgment today (3 November 2016) that Parliamentary approval is needed to trigger Article 50, the beginning of the Brexit process, and the Government cannot rely on the royal prerogative. However, the Government has said that they will appeal this decision, with space already pencilled into the diary of the UK's Supreme Court for early December.
