On October 31, 2014, IP Court held that the former employee of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (“Hon Hai”) misappropriated Hon Hai’s trade secrets and breached the non-competition agreement by serving as the general manager of Hon Hai’s competitor and forwarding the information related to the market prices, margins and costs of Hon Hai’s products to his own personal email account during his leave of absence period after resignation from Hon Hai.  IP Court held that the former employee should not work for Hon Hai’s competitors during the non-competition period and should refund Hon Hai with the compensation for non-competition and the incentives and employee stock options awared to him in the latest three years pursuant to the non-competition agreement.
