FCA has launched a consultation on changes to the Handbook reflecting the introduction of the Innovative Finance ISA (IFISA) and the categorising of advising on peer-to-peer (P2P) agreements as a regulated activity. The introduction of the IFISA on 6 April will allow P2P agreements to be included within an ISA tax wrapper. The consultation also addresses redress and compensation arrangements that should apply to the new regulated activity. FOS is included in the consultation as it intends to widen its jurisdiction to reflect the changes in the regulatory perimeter. FCA proposes to amend several modules of its Handbook, notably the Glossary, Conduct of Business Sourcebook and Supervision Manual, and also the Perimeter Guidance. Consultation closes on 15 February. (Source: FCA Consults on IFISA and P2P Handbook Changes)
