The CNMC initiates disciplinary proceedings against nine companies for irregularities in portability The Spanish National Market and Competition Commission (CNMC) has decided to initiate disciplinary proceedings against nine companies due to an alleged breach of their obligations relating to mobile portability, numbering sub-assignment and registration. According to the CNMC, the companies have allegedly engaged in acts involving minor to serious infringements to the Spanish Telecommunication General Law. In particular, disobedience to Portability Technical Specifications might be categorized as a "very serious infringement". The CNMC decision to initiate disciplinary proceedings in this respect also derives from prior complaints by the Spanish Association of Operators for Mobile Portability in 2012. The regulator has a twelve-month period to issue the final resolution. For more information, please contact Raul Rubio, Patricia Perez, Rosario Alvarez, Ignacio Vela, Alvaro Ubeda or Cristina Monereo.
