The FCA has updated its transparency webpage to include links to the 2014 and 2015 independent reviews of the FCA board's effectiveness. The 2015 review highlights the strengths of the FCA board and contains a number of recommendations to enhance its effectiveness. The FCA board accepts all the recommendations and, where necessary, is taking steps to implement them. Of the recommendations, 6 will require new arrangements to be established, 24 will entail a refinement to existing arrangements, 11 are already in progress and one will be considered further once the new FCA board members currently being recruited have taken up their positions. The FCA board decided to publish the June 2014 report in the interests of completeness and transparency. It intends to commission further external reviews of its effectiveness every two years.
