Overtime violations by the U.S. Department of Labor? They’ve got to be willful! The grievance arose in 2006 and took a life of its own through three Secretaries of Labor.According to a union press release, employees allegedly were not paid for hours that the employees were “permitted or suffered to work.” So here it is — the government is paying $7 million in government money to government employees who enforce the law on behalf of the government.
