On 18 April 2016, the UK Regulators Network (UKRN) published its Work Programme for 2016/17, in which it sets out the network’s achievements to date and the three key areas the network will focus on in 2016/17. The UKRN is a network established two years ago, comprising 13 of the UK’s sectorial regulators and four contributing members.
The FCA, Ofcom and PSR are three of the 13 members of UKRN, with the CMA having ‘observer’ status.
The three key areas the network aims to focus on in 2016/17 are:
- ‘Engagement’ workstream Creating further opportunities for stakeholders to play an increasingly active role in UKRN.
- ‘Policy’ workstream Continuing to identify cross cutting policy projects with clear outputs, including work in relation to the cost of capital, customer engagement and customers in vulnerable circumstances.
- ‘People and Resources’ workstream Finding smarter ways to make use of resources available within the network.
