IMA and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) have responded to the Financial Reporting Council’s (FRC) consultation on the revision to the UK Stewardship Code. Both agree in rejecting the extension of the Code to cover overseas investments. IMA also says some proposed changes affect the “comply or explain” approach despite the fact that firms may have a valid reason for not adhering to the Code.
