On 01 September, the OFT invited written representations about any competition or public interest issues arising out of the completed acquisition by Ryanair Holdings plc of a minority interest in Aer Lingus Group Plc. The OFT is currently considering whether a relevant merger situation has been created as a result of the acquisition and, if so, whether it may result in a substantial lessening of competition in any UK market that would warrant a reference to the CC.
