The Decree on Controlled Remuneration Policy FMSA is expected to come into force on 1 January 2011. The Decree enables the AFM and DNB to regulate the manner in which the remuneration policy is drawn up, approved and implemented. The AFM and DNB have announced that they will tighten their supervision of remuneration policies in anticipation of the new rules. The new decree will provide a consistent and explicit statutory basis to the Principles for controlled remuneration policy in the financial industry, which the AFM and DNB published last year
