On March 23, 2015, the Ohio Department of Medicaid issued a notice on its website that approximately 4,200 Ohio Medicaid Providers mistakenly were sent letters stating that they had been terminated and/or excluded from Ohio Medicaid. The notice stressed that the letters should be disregarded and that all of the affected providers had been restored to an “Active” status. The Department stated that a recent MITS system issue is responsible for the error. Those providers impacted by the error who have any additional concerns were encouraged to contact the Ohio Medicaid Provider Hotline at 1-800-686-1516.
