The symbol circle C is the copyright notice. It should list the year that the work was produced or the work was first created, followed by the name of the owner of the copyright. On many websites nowadays, you will see at the end of the website it has the circle C, followed by the year, followed by the owner of the copyright. Even though the Circle C is protection against copyright infringement, if your IP is on a tangible medium, you are automatically protected under copyright law.
