The European Commission and the US Treasury have renamed the financial markets regulatory dialogue (FMRD) as the Joint EU-US Financial Regulatory Forum. The aim of the Forum is to act as a platform for enabling US-EU regulatory co-operation and the statement sets out details of how the Forum will be organised and the activities that it undertake. The Forum will meet twice a year, although there may be additional technical meetings and calls, as appropriate, between the biannual meetings.
