The United Kingdom’s Committee on Climate Change released its Renewable Energy Review May 9. The report advised the UK to raise its share of renewable energy in its overall energy mix from 3 percent today to 30 t0 45 percent by 2030. Under the European Union’s Directive on Renewable Energy, Britain is required to have 15 percent of its energy come from renewable sources by 2020.
