Following up on our post discussing the U.S. Government’s recent guidance on protecting humans from robots in the workplace, Google’s Boston Dynamics group continues to test its robotic dog, Spot.  Spot appears to strike terror into the heart of a scrappy little terrier who laudably will not back down from the robotic canine.  Should the government also look to protecting animals other than humans in the workplace?  What about security service K-9 units in a not-to-distant future working alongside a robotic attack dog?  How will the makers of such robots ensure the safety of non-humans and humans alike
