President Obama has urged the UK to remain in the EU as he arrived for the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations. He said that Britain’s membership had magnified its place in the world and made the bloc stronger and more outward looking. The president invoked the interlinked history of the two countries as his reason for speaking as "a friend" on the June 23 referendum and stated that "The European Union doesn't moderate British influence - it magnifies it”, adding that “the EU makes Britain even greater."
