OECD has published a paper on the role of stock exchanges in corporate governance. It looks mainly at the rise in ATS and whether that has affected corporate governance. It sees exchanges are worried about the effects of trading fragmentation and how they can continue to perform some of their traditional functions as their revenue base shrinks.
