In a speech delivered on the Senate floor today, Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-UT) voiced his support for the Senate Republican budget proposal, noting that it “would achieve $4.4 trillion more in deficit reduction than President Obama’s most recent budget proposal.”  Senator Hatch stated that he planned to offer an amendment to the budget proposal this week that would address the need for comprehensive tax reform.  He indicated that his amendment would add more detail to the deficit-neutral reserve fund for tax reform and administration described in the budget proposal.
