Lord Turner and Hector Sants met the SEC Chair, Mary Shapiro, to discuss current matters of mutual interest. Among the subjects they talked about were corporate governance and remuneration, regulation of hedge funds and investment advisers, and customer asset protection and disclosure of client asset risks. They also discussed market infrastructure and supervision. The authorities plan to review their existing MOU to ensure it gives the best opportunities to work together.
