In Payment Matters No. 14, we covered the FCA’s announcement in December 2014 that it was setting up a working group as part of its efforts to prepare for the launch of a new Payments Strategy Forum (PSF). The FCA called for interested individuals to nominate themselves to form part of the working group. 60 individuals from across the payment sector responded and, on 6 February 2015, the PSR advised that 14 individuals had now been selected to form the working group.
What this means for you
The FCA intends that the PSF will be launched shortly after the PSR becomes fully operational on 1 April 2015. The 14 individuals selected – drawn from various entities including American Express and Faster Payments – will now employ their skills and expertise to help design the PSF when the working group convenes its inaugural meeting this month. The PSR will publish details of the activities of the working group on its website.
